Working Principle

Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter consists of three parts: the detection rod, the circuit unit and the float.

During the measurement, the circuit unit generates a current pulse that travels down the magnetostrictive line and creates a circular magnetic field. A float is attached to the outside of the probe rod and moves up and down along the rod in response to changes in liquid level.

Since the float is equipped with a set of permanent magnets, the float simultaneously generates a magnetic field. When the current magnetic field meets the float magnetic field, a "distortion" pulse, or "return" pulse, is generated. The time difference between the "return" pulse and the current pulse is converted into a pulse signal, which calculates the actual position of the float and measures the liquid level. At the same time, the transmission module of Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter adopts standard output signals, which is convenient for the computer to process the signals, and it is easy to realize network work and improve the automation of the entire measurement system.
